This autumn felt very quick in my opinion, October is almost done and when I walk into shops I can already see Christmas decorations, not sure how I feel about that honestly. With autumn fashion I have been browsing in this month's Vogue UK issue, Zara, H&M, and Primark who I have experienced with being quite up to date with trends and usually look at luxury brands to adopt trends for the everyday working-class girl. I first looked into Vogue which highlighted the trend Relaxed minimalism which shows a lot of oversized, wide fit coats and jumpers. It also highlighted the trend leather pants which Vogue says should be on everyone's shopping list for this autumn.

Another trend that was also highlighted is thick headbands with sequins or any sort of bling on them.

When I went into Zara I discovered a variety of wide-leg pants, also a few that were leather. Zara, in general, had a big selection of leather-like items such as shirts and shorts.

Zara is also big on the headband trend. The jewelry section was filled with a good amount of sequinned headbands.

I noticed that Zara also styled a complete look with leather shorts, a blouse, and a headband. This showed me how Zara is translating these trends and turning them into a complete look.

My next stop was Primark. Primark had a big advertisement where a model is wearing leather pants and a basic neutral jumper with it. I could see the relaxed minimalism there, as well as the leather pants trend again. It had a big selection of leather pants in their store at their newer items section which showed me how Primark is also offering the trend.

Another shop I looked at was Topshop. Topshop was not too big on relaxed minimalism but had quite a lot of items that were leather in their new collection section, such as skirts, pants, and even a trench coat in a shiny leatherlike material. I think that Topshop is always quite on trend but can often also be very tacky. With this trend, they definitely tried to apply it to a variety of things. The item that stood out to me the most is the trenchcoat which is quite cool and I haven't seen that at the other shops that I've looked at.

The next stop was H&M. H&M had much like the other shops a basic leather shirt, leather pants, but also jeans with a kind of sheer leather optic on them which looked interesting.

H&M mostly had a neutral and warm colour palette for this autumn season and lots of oversized coats as well. This showed me again how the Relaxed Minimalism is communicated by H&M. I liked how H&M made jeans that had a shiny leather-like look to it as you can still wear regular jeans but also be able to wear the trend comfortably as the leather pants that are sold at most high street shops are not real leather which might not feel comfortable on the skin.

H&M also offered a selection of the headbands which are all quite similar at each shop I went to.

Overall I found that the high street shops are quite caught up with the current autumn trends that have been mentioned in the Vogue October issue. I am personally rocking the relaxed minimalism in my wardrobe as well as purchasing two long oversized coats and neutral turtlenecks for the cold days.

As my style is very casual with mostly neutral colours anyway, I am quite happy that I am able to be living the relaxed minimalism trend without adding much to my personal wardrobe.
