Final Outcome

I have finally handed in my summative brief and I feel so relieved yet empty. I have put a lot of thinking and process into it but there are so many thoughts I feel like could have been added and tweaked but that is just how it is and I'm sure most of my course mates probably feel the same. For my final outcome, I came up with the event idea of The Batcave Club which was originally opened in 1982 but shortly after closed to reopen it hosted in collaboration with Fred Perry. I decided to invite musicians that performed there during the 80s goth era as it will be very nostalgic and attract many different types of visitors.

As I wanted to have that nostalgic feeling yet make it something fresh and new I redesigned the logo of the club for Fred Perry for the event collaboration (Logo).

Another thing I made to give this event a more realistic factor is as a poster design which I created using Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop, that would then be printed and hung up for promotion as well as given out as flyers at the event.

What I also did is make some sign mock-ups for the entry of the club and a tote bag which will be given as out as a memory of the event with the flyers inside to keep. (signs, tote bag)

Overall I think my idea could have definitely been pushed further by involving the brand more and creating more mock-ups that show how this event will attract more consumers. One thing I have learned from this project is time management is probably one of the most important things during not only your studies but also in life. Giving yourself a breather by going to the gym or for a coffee can really help broaden your ideas and help get a clear mind. To most people, this might sound like the most obvious statement ever, but I feel like for me it was not as clear yet as I thought and while working on this project has really helped myself respect the time and how fast it goes.
