Is this going to be another post about New York? YES! Let me live in my New York bubble for just a little longer until I have fully arrived back in reality, which might not happen for a while. As this post is dedicated to the amazing retail spaces I found in Soho and not about my obsession of New York we can turn a blind eye on this one hopefully. One of the first stores I visited in Soho after getting off the subway at Canal Street was the Off White Empty Gallery. The inside of the store was covered in this cloud curtain and the floor looked like grass. The bags were displayed on this graffiti brick like display which matched the bag designs that also has some graffiti work on them.

I am personally not a huge fan of the brand itself and the clothing as there are loads of counterfeits going around and I have seen that yellow industrial belt a few too many times on influencers, however I was really impressed with the store design and how everything was laid out to match the clothing design.

The next shop I visited was Opening ceremony which is a brand that was founded in New York in 2002. It has it's own brand but also resells creative designers such as Proenza Schouler, Alexander Wang, Acne Studios, and many others.

What I like about this store is the interior as well as the customisation station where you could customise clothes with all these interesting add ons.

The store was had a lot of interesting touches such as these water cans with this beautiful design on them. I was going to buy one but the price was a touch high for a water.

The next space was Stadium goods. This shop was a paradise for every sneaker lover out there. It had all the newest collaborations to really old air jordans which was really cool to see as these shoes are so limited and people go crazy and queue up for hours for shoes that were sold there. The shoes were all sealed in plastic for display and were all lined up on the walls within the store.

Another brand space I visited was Supreme. With this brand I also connect a lot of queuing up but I also feel like this brand has such a strong history which people have a strong connection to. I do not have the connection with the brand but because I had that in mind while stepping the store with the music playing and projector screening skating videos I could really feel that vibe of the brand which I thought was a really great space experience.

As all these brands are mostly Street-wear focused I decided to split this into two blogposts. The part two will be more about the luxury fancy type of spaces which were also a great experience, yet very different to theses examples I listed here. Overall if I had money to shop I would most likely spend it in Soho.
