As I have probably mentioned a good amount of times on this blog that I am from Stuttgart, Germany I thought why not represent my hometown a little and share these photographs I took in the summer of 2018 where one of my favourite vintage markets have done their first collection in collaboration with a local designer also from Stuttgart called RORO. The pieces were all quite unique and not maybe the most everyday type of clothing but the important thing about this collection is that all pieces were made from vintage clothes.

I get very nostalgic (I know 2018 is not that long ago) talking about my hometown as I miss it everyday and think that even though creative-wise it is limited as in Germany the mentality of doing something in the creative industry, unless you are in Berlin where basically everyone opened a coffee shop and has a startup company, is still looked down as or just simply not possible. Courses like Fashion Communication and Promotion which is what I am doing, is hardly available or if only at private universities and the only places to really study fashion professionally are either Dusseldorf or yet again Berlin. Going back to the fashion show. I loved the pieces but what I also really loved was the chosen models as I think the garments assigned to each model made the overall garments bring them really to life.

I think that Stuttgart is slowly starting to get their more creative young individuals rising up and taking more risks which I think is really great and important. I hope to see the next show of the Vintage Markt and take more photographs as that is one of my favourite hobbies to do in my free time and dont get to do it as much as I used to.
